There’s nothing quite like being in love. My guest, Connection Messenger* Annette Petrick shares some personal reflections on her own realization that when you love and are loved—at any age—life is sweeter.

This story came together on an afternoon of musing. I had set time aside to conceive and write the next twenty Consider This shows. As it so often does, the subject of LOVE entered my mind. It began by considering the loves in my own life, savoring them, relishing them, smiling about them.
Then it occurred to me how many other couples Bill and I know and have met who are equally in love, and have been, for a long time. Then I envisioned a world full of people – different languages, different colors, different sizes – but all having this overwhelmingly positive condition of loving and being loved. Millions of us. How CAN the world be in such sorry shape, when there are so may of us who love and are loved?
This is the story that emerged from those musings.

For those who are with the love of their life – I congratulate you. And I admit at times I am envious of those couples who have been together 30 or 35 or 40 or more years. Knowing that I’ll never have that… Best wishes and love love love to you all.
Karen, your comment is so poignant and I’ll bet it will resonate with many. As always, I deeply appreciate your reading, your commenting, and your friendship.
