My dear Heartspoken readers:
The editorial calendar says today’s post should be about connecting with one’s self, and when I reflected on that, I discovered something important:
I need a break.
I’m getting ready to go pack so my husband and I can get on a plane tomorrow and fly to New Mexico to visit our daughter and her husband for Christmas. I’ve made an executive decision (and a self-care decision) to take a break next week and focus on my time with family and consider the reason for the season: celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
I’ll miss you—I really will—but I’ll come back refreshed and renewed and ready to begin a wonderful new year. I’m already brimming with ideas about how I can ramp up our discovery of new ways to make those connections that are so essential to our happiness and well-being.
I’d love to hear from you if there are any particular topics you’d like me to explore or any particular issues you’ve had when it comes to life’s essential connections.
In the mean time, I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas. Get some rest. Have some fun. And I’ll see you after Christmas!
